Jobe’s Opera building in downtown Johnson City

Downtown Johnson City · photographed on Main Street

A building with a story

Work is theoriginal opera.

Jobe’s Opera takes its name from the historic opera house that helped define this corner of downtown. The word opera comes from work: effort, craft, and something made together. That thread connects the building's past to its next act—a place where Johnson City's independent businesses, teams, and ideas can take shape.

Past

A gathering place for performance, civic life, and downtown commerce.

Now

A gathering place for focus, collaboration, and new local work.
